The main streets of Kishinev were closed off in order for the Central Lag Baomer procession to pass through â— The procession was proceeded by a Mitzva Tank flanked by jeeps â— Tzivos Hashem Rallies, bonfires and Lag Baomer Farbrengens â— All conducted by the Shliach and Cheif Rabbi of Moldova, Rabbi Zalman Abelskyâ—
On April 8, the 28th of Nissan a gathering dedicated to the memory of Kishinev Pogrom victims of 1903 was held near the Monument mounted in 2003 on the territory of the former Jewish cemetery.
Chabad of Moldova, under the directorship of Rabbi Zalman Abelsky, held a Model Matza Bakery with the help of some fresh arrived Yeshivah Students.
