On January 27, 1945, Soviet troops liberated prisoners from one of the most brutal Nazi concentration camps of Auschwitz.
On the eve of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a rally was held in Orgeev (Orhei). Residents and guests, representatives of the Jewish community, state administration and members of the city council gathered at the monument of the victims of the Holocaust.
The annual commemoration on this day of the victims of the Holocaust is designed to preserve the historical memory of the destruction of millions of human lives during the Second World War.
