Meeting of the Jewish women club on Rosh Chodesh

Shevat is the eleventh month of the year and the fifth from Rosh Hashanah. By the month of Shevat in Israel, most of the rain falls and all reservoirs overflow with water.

The wells rise so that the bucket is filled right on the surface without the slightest effort.

This year, Jewish women from Kishinev again gathered for a traditional meeting on the first of Shevat.

Everyone was invited to visit the family of Rabbi Mendel and Leah Gotzel.

They served a wonderful Kosher dairy meal. Among the other guests were Rebbetzin Rachel Maidanchik, the daughter of Reb Zalman and Rebbetzin Leah Abelsky. Rebbetzin Rachel has been spending the past few weeks in Moldova.

The conversation united women of all ages. Conversations on spiritual topics are always organized for Jewish women at these gatherings. Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Axelrod noted that every woman can change the world for her family, and therefore the entire world, for the better. Taking care of loved ones and doing good deeds is the heart of a Jewish woman. The women also discussed various ways of cultivating the best Jewish qualities in themselves and their daughters.

After the final tea party, the women said goodbye until the next meeting before the Tu B’Shvat holiday.

Friday Olshansky.
