Jewish community Chabad Lubavitch Moldova
Sunday school starts at the Kishinev Chabad Lubavitch Synagogue!

This Sunday, Jewish children gathered in the Itzik Manger library to learn more about Judaism and to make friends.

The Chabad Lubavitch Synagogue held a great camp this summer for kids aged 6-12. In order to ensure that camp would not be the only point of contact many children have with Jewish life and Torah study throughout the year, this August we decided to create an opportunity to continue their journey into the world of Judaism. It was wonderful to see that the children remembered all the blessings they had learned over the summer.

Naturally, the Sunday School program offers many different classes in addition to Torah study. For example, we hold English classes, chess, clay, a culinary master class, and Hebrew are all planned for future Sundays. Children are provided with a delicious Kosher meal in the morning and in the afternoon by the synagogue.

On the first day, each child received a folder with everything necessary for Sunday School. Each future student will receive the same folder, where he can put all the materials for the lessons. There are still many surprises ahead, and we’re confident that a wonderful experience awaits all the children!

The children are taught by professional teachers who are passionate about their jobs. Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Axelrod teaches Torah lessons for the children. Adelina Golubovskaya takes care of the health, safety, and food for the children. The programming is headed by Chaya Mushka Zalmanov. The Director, Natalya Yocheved Melnichenko, is responsible for organizing and coordinating all aspects of the Sunday School.
