Jewish community Chabad Lubavitch Moldova
SHOW THEM THEY ARE NOT ALONE!

Dear Friends and Supporters,

At this moment, the most vulnerable among us are isolated, at-risk, and more vulnerable than ever. Your gift this Passover will provide lifesaving aid like food and other needs and show them they’re not alone, but part of a global Jewish community.

I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well and in good spirits. As we are getting closer to Passover, I turn to you for your annual support.

Our resolve and commitment to bringing humanitarian aid and a rich and meaningful Jewish experience to young and old throughout the community is stronger than ever! Each and every day, we channel our energy and efforts to providing for the community, visiting the elderly, providing basic foods and medical support, Jewish holiday programs and community events.

Over these past few months, we’ve adapted and expanded our work to the current global Covid-19 situation. We’ve arranged multiple Zoom Torah classes each week, in Kishinev, Beltz Tiraspol and Bendery. We’ve been delivering packages with food to many elderly people who can not leave their homes. We’ve created holiday packages for each holiday that are individually wrapped and delivered to people’s homes, so that they can celebrate the holidays while adhering to the current precautionary measures against the virus.

As always, we’ll arrange this Passover communal Seders in Kishinev and in its surrounding cities. This year, we will be arranging it to accommodate social distancing between people.

We will provide people with Matzah, wine and food for the holiday, along with pamphlets, all individually wrapped and delivered to the homes of many people who are elderly and vulnerable to the Covid-19 virus, to enable them to have their own Seders in their homes.

In our main kitchen in Kishinev, we will cook over 1,000 portions of food throughout the holiday. We will bring Rabbis from Israel in addition to the local Rabbis we have already, so that we can have a Rabbi at each Seder we are organizing.

It is only through the generosity of our friends like you that we have been able to get to where we are today and for this we are forever grateful. Know that your donation will support crucial long-term benefits for Jewish life and enrich Chabad of Moldova for decades to come.

We look forward to partnering with you for a strong and vibrant future.

Wishing you and your family a joyous Passover,

Rabbi Zushe Abelsky
