Students who this year joined the university of Kishinev Moldova are receiving help by the synagogue members to keep the laws of Judaism.
For the past month, Rabbi Zalman Abelsky, Chief Rabbi of Moldova, along with Rabbi Levy Ableksy from New York and Rabbi Levy Abelsky from Israel have been putting on tefillin, placing mezuzos, and teaching students from universities in Moldova, the guidelines of the holidays.
On the holiday of succos, members of the synagogue and many students walked for one and a half hours in the freezing cold to reach out to other Jews in Kishinev and help them keep the holiday. Many people joined the synagogue after seeing the dedication and devotion the men had. They truly admired how the men walked so far out in the freezing cold.
