The Chabad Lubavitch Jewish community of Moldova wishes the warmest congratulations to Yosef and Mical Cohen on the upshernish of their son Levi Chaim. Here are some words from our rebbe:
“Regarding the first haircut – upshernish – it is known that this is a great custom of the people of Israel with its basis in teaching children to wear sidelocks. From the first haircut, children are taught to wear tallit-katan, they are taught morning routines, blessings, prayers for after meals, and the Shema before bed. Hashem will raise him with torah, chuppah, and good deeds in good health and in full prosperity, material and spiritual.”
