During a brief and meaningful stopover, the Kozhnitz Rebbe visited the central Chabad synagogue in Kishinev, accompanied by a small entourage. The visit took place between trips to holy sites and ahead of the Rebbe’s onward flight.
The Rebbe met with Chabad shluchim and the Chief Rabbi of Moldova, Rabbi Mendel Axelrod, and expressed genuine admiration for the breadth of Jewish life being sustained locally with such dedication.
During the meeting, the Rebbe was presented with Dvar Malchut, featuring talks of the Lubavitcher Rebbe from 1991–1992. He then shared a short story highlighting the Rebbe’s remarkable insight: a reminder that guidance must be properly understood and followed to bear fruit—much like a doctor’s prescription.
The visit left a warm and lasting impression, underscoring the depth of cooperation, care, and responsibility that continues to strengthen Jewish life in Moldova.
