The Power of CTeen
Last Shabbos, eleven teens from Moldova walked through the door. They came because they wanted to be here and that says everything.
CTeen gives Jewish teens a sense of who they are and something to be proud of.
The meal was incredible. Round table, niggunim, clapping, real energy. No formal speeches, no pressure, just genuine connection. You could feel it.
And in the middle of all of it, one boy made a decision. After Shabbos, he was going to start putting on tefillin. A real commitment.
We gifted him his own tefillin box to carry them with dignity, because that kind of commitment deserves to be honored.
My father always used to say: “A Yid, a chossid geit mit shtoltz” — a Jew, a chossid, walks with pride.
That’s exactly what I saw this past Shabbos, eleven teens showing up, one teen stepping forward, and a generation deciding who they want to be.
That’s the power of CTeen.
