Bright act of solidarity: Moldova expresses support for victims of terror in Israel
On Friday, November 10th, 2023, on the pedestrian street Eugeni Dogi in Kishinev, a flash mob dedicated to the victims of the terrorist group Hamas and the Israeli hostages currently being held by Hamas. Community members from Moldova and Israel gathered at the entrance of the Kedem building, where photographs of the victims, flowers, candles and toys were displayed.
The moment of silence has become a symbol of deep sorrow and support for those who have lost their loved ones in these horrific events. Photos of the hostages were posted at empty tables on the capital’s terrace, opposite the Jewish Community Center. This touching image reminds us of the hostages.
This important event ended with prayers and the lighting of Shabbat candles in synagogues.
