Today was truly a festive day for the children as we prepared for Passover with joy and excitement.
Each child created their own personal Seder plate (Ke’ara) to place on the holiday table. They also received special items to help make the Seder a meaningful and joyful experience:
- A pillow — to sit like royalty
- Shmurah matzah — a symbol of our history
- A cup and a bottle of grape juice — for the four cups
- A towel — for washing hands
- A Haggadah — to tell the story of the Exodus
The children already sing “Ma Nishtana” beautifully.
After all, the central mitzvah of the Seder night is to engage the children and pass on to them the story of the Exodus from Egypt.
