A mitzvah tank is a vehicle used by Chabad Lubavitch as a portable education and outreach center as well as a “mini synagogue” to engage with non-observant Jews. These tanks have been a common sight on the streets of New York since 1974. Today, they can be seen throughout the cities of Moldova, as well!
