On September 18, Kishinev hosted the cultural Festival “Unity through Diversity”. The event was organized by the Agency for Interethnic Relations and the Kishinev City Hall in partnership with the Coordinating Council of Ethnocultural Organizations.
40 different cultural groups joined together in the city’s central park, Stefan cel Mare. Chabad Lubavitch made sure that all the guests could learn about the activities of the synagogue and the Jewish community. Rav Shmuel Zalmanov helped each Jew put on tefillin and pray. He also provided everyone with the opportunity to observe the commandment associated with Rosh Hashanah – blowing the shofar.
