Sunday school at the Central Synagogue continues to delight its students each Sunday. Recently at a Torah lesson, Rebbetzin Chaya Axelrod arranged a competition with prizes. The game was challenging because all the tasks were about the month of Omer. But our smart and friendly children did a great job despite the challenges.
We now have not only Torah lessons every Sunday, but Hebrew lessons with a teacher from Israel. The students have learned to write letters, which is very difficult for those who do not study in a Jewish school. We believe that learning with a native speaker has a powerful impact.
After dinner, all the students went to a clay modeling class, where they learned how to make very complex figures – they even sculpted a ferris wheel!
We will be waiting for the students next Sunday at 10:00. If you have children between the ages of 6 and 12, you can call Yocheved to get more detailed information about the school: 079993996. Our Sunday school will continue through the month of June.
