Our community in Kishinev was lucky to enjoy a beautiful Sukkot together.
On the first night of Sukkot, dozens of men and women from our community gathered for a festive prayer and meal in our Sukkah. Each year, we make sure to build a Sukkah that’s large enough to accommodate all those who wish to join us in the festivities. We had an impressive turnout, with dozens of Kishinev Jews enjoying the festival of Sukkot together!
Our wonderful rabbis were able to visit members of our community in their homes or stores or on the street if they were not able to attend synagogue so that all were able to experience the mitzvah of the lulav. We are so grateful to have three remarkable, dedicated rabbis who are committed to serving each and every Jew in our community – even if they are unable to attend synagogue.
As always, we organized a special program for kids with special holiday activities. A great time was had by all the children who attended, and we are so glad that our children were able to participate in this important festival!
We also delivered food to the needy. Taking care of those in need is one of the most important mitzvahs for the Jewish people, and our Kishinev community always makes sure to take care of our own. Together, we ensured that no one went hungry over the holiday.
We are so grateful to all of our generous supporters who allow us to do this work for the Jewish community in Kishinev. It’s truly a team effort – we couldn’t do it without each and everyone of you!
