Something extraordinary was happening in the central synagogue in Kishinev during the holidays:
A huge number of people were in the synagogue day and night, everyone prayed, ate, rested, communicated, and gave thanks. All synagogue employees provided comfort and paid attention to each guest.
On one evening, for example, more than 2,500 baguettes were baked to feed all the guests. And special thanks to Svetlana Mikhailovna – our head cook – along with the entire team, who did not rest for a single minute during these days.
These days it seemed that our synagogue was constantly increasing in size in order to accommodate all these thousands of Jews from all over the World. We are proud to be part of history; it feels like everyone who enters our doors has become part of our large community!
