SEVENTH YORZAIT
On 29th of Sivan (June 9, 2021) a farbrengen took place. It was dedicated to the seventh yorzait of the Rav Zalman Abelsky – chief Rabbi of Moldova.
His descendants are spreading his ideas, keeping and multiplying his heritage. His soul continues being with us.
Rav Zalman Abelsky showed the path to spiritual life for tens of thousands of people. He spread the teachings and taught the Torah and Chassidus even during the communist regime. He gave blessing to everyone who turned to him. Being a kohen, he was giving blessings on the direct instructions of our Rebbe. Rav Zalman Abelsky left behind a rich legacy: books, schools, kindergartens, synagogues, study houses, a Chabad house, a street called Chabad-Lubavitch, opened with his support.
There has always been and is the presence of envoys and followers of Rav Zalman and Rebezin Leah Abelsky in the Chabad community. Under the leadership of the eldest sons – Rabbis: Yosef Abelsky and Zushe Abelsky, Shmuel and Chaya Mushka Zalmanov, Mendel and Chaya Mushka Axelrod, Mendel and Leah Gotzel continue the mission of the Shluchim.
