On February 6 (Yud Shvat 5780), Chabad Worldwide marked seventy years of the leadership of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. In honor of the momentous occation, Chabad of Kishinev and Moldova brought Rabbi Shloma Raskin from Tzfat, Israel, principal of Beit Chana School in Tzfat, to address the community. He inspired the crowd with his warm words and personal stories.

The crowd also watched a video of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and were addressed by the president of the Jewish community, Mr. Simcha Burzor.

The event was organized and beautifully decorated by our talented team of Shluchim, Rabbi Mendy and Chaya Mushka Axelrod, Rabbi Mendy and Leah Gotsel and Rabbi Shmuel and Chaya Zalmanov.

Rabbi Raskin also went to speak to the Israeli students studying in Moldovian universities. He shared with them how he escaped the Soviet Union and how he came to the Holy Land.

“We got incredible feedback from the community and students from these incredible events,” shared Rabbi Zushe Abelsky, director of Chabad of Moldova. “This inspires us as we move forward to two big coming Holiday events for Purim and Pessach.”
