Jewish community Chabad Lubavitch Moldova
Passover in Rybnitsa
“Rybnitsa, once a thriving Jewish community, was home to a population where 38% were Jews. The city’s fame spread far and wide, thanks to the revered Rabbi Chaim Zanvil Abramovitz of Rybnitsa. However, the community has significantly dwindled in recent times. The Gotsel brothers made a visit to the city today, distributing matzah and food packages to the remaining members of the community.
Rybnitsa stands as a symbol among the 18 communities set to be visited by Chabad Moldova. These communities vary in size, some being large while others are quite small. But our mission remains the same – to remember every Jew and to spread the joy of the holiday to all. In cities with larger communities, we will organize a public Seder night, with five such events planned in total!
Despite our ambitious goal to reach out and support every Jew, we are in need of financial assistance. We invite you to participate in this crucial project that brings hope and festive joy to thousands of people.”
