Soup Kitchen Offers Warm Meals to People in Need
Since its establishment in 1990, the soup kitchen in Chabad of Kishinev has been operating seven days a week, all year around.
Our soup kitchen serves not only people who could not otherwise have a hot meal, but also people who have difficulty maintaining a kosher kitchen home due to the expense of doing so.
Additionally, people who would like to partake and enjoy a Shabbat or holiday meal turn to our kitchen.
Moldova is the poorest country in Europe, has a high unemployment rate, and a large community of elderly people. These factors make our soup kitchen all the more critical to the survival of our community.
We serve approximately 30,000 free meals a year. These meals make all the difference to the people who depend on them.
Your support will put smiles on many faces. It will make a difference for them and their families.
