Our esteemed President, Maya Sandu, has requested that her heartfelt condolences be conveyed to the Kogan family on the tragic murdering of Rabbi Zvi Kogan HY”D, the beloved Chabad Shliach in Dubai.
The message reads as follows:
“We deeply mourn the loss of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, a Moldovan-Israeli citizen who tragically murdered in the UAE. We strongly condemn this act of violence and reaffirm that hate has no place in our world. Our thoughts are with his family, the Jewish community, and all those who grieve this loss. We remain in contact with Israel and the UAE during this difficult time.”

The levaya of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, who was tragically killed while on Shlichus in Dubai, will be held in Israel on Monday evening. His body, discovered on Sunday morning, was brought to Israel for burial by ZAKA search and rescue.
The funeral will commence at 1:00 PM EST (8:00 PM in Israel) outside the 770 building in Kfar Chabad. Brief eulogies will be delivered by rabbis, family members, and dignitaries, after which the procession will continue to Har Hazeisim in Jerusalem, with a stop at the Shamgar Funeral Home. Rabbi Kogan will be laid to rest at Har Hazeisim.
Rabbi Kogan HY”D dedicated his life to his Shlichus in Dubai, touching and inspiring countless lives among both local residents and tourists. Guided by the teachings of the Rebbe, he exemplified love for his fellow Jews, radiated warmth, and extended boundless generosity in all his actions.
May his memory be a source of blessing and inspiration.
