The Federation of Chabad-Lubavitch Jewish communities in Moldova reports that matzos and Pesach leaflets were distributed to Jews in Argayev, Bendery, Balti, Dubasari, Grigoriopol, Tiraspol, Soroca, Cahul, Ribnita, Rezina, and more. The matzos were delivered to Chabad shuls and chessed centers around the country.
The Chabad community in Kishinev, Moldova, held various Purim events across the city to bring the joy and happiness of Judaism to all Jews ● Hundreds of Jews filled the Shul by night and day to hear the Megillah and eat Hamataschen. Chanukah festivities were in full swing in Kishinev, Moldova this year. Rabbi Zalman Abelsky and his wife Rebbetzin Leah Abelsky were joined by three students Rabbis, Shmulik Zalmanov, Mendel Abelsky, and Issac Abelsky to run the programs.
Every time there’s a Jewish holiday, Chabad of Moldova’s student division is on hand to cater to the many Israeli students who are studying at the university in Kishinev, strengthening their Jewish identity.
