The Ambassador of Israel to Moldova, Mr. Eliyahu Yerushalmi, once again visited our synagogue.
Mr. Ambassador kindly agreed to give a short interview for our newspaper “Yistoky – The Origins of Life”, which will be published in the next issue.
In the meantime, we quote an extract from it:
“Your community, Chabad, always gives me a very warm and enjoyable welcome. Here you feel really at home. It is extremely important that any Jew, when he finds himself in Chisinau, gets help and support in your community both in spiritual and in the most ordinary material matters.
You can come to prayer, and you can just try a kosher meal.
And of course, we cannot fail to note the enormous work carried out by Chabad both in Chisinau itself and in Moldova as a whole.”
In conclusion, Mr. Ambassador wished everyone a happy and a kosher Pesach!
