
Purim 5785 – A Celebration Beyond Boundaries in Kishinev!
A Joyous Gathering at the Central Chabad Synagogue
This year, Purim in Kishinev was a celebration of joy, unity, and light that spread across the entire city. Hundreds of community members gathered at the Central Chabad Synagogue for the Megillah reading, followed by a festive and plentiful Purim Seudah.
The atmosphere was vibrant and uplifting. Colorful costumes, lively music, and spirited dancing filled the hall. Everyone present felt the true essence of Purim—a holiday of joy and Jewish unity.
Purim on the Go – Spreading the Joy Across the City
The joy of Purim was not confined to the synagogue. The Chabad emissaries worked tirelessly to spread the holiday spirit throughout the city with a special outreach initiative:
- Hotels – Special Megillah readings were arranged for Jewish tourists and guests.
- Airport Chabad Desk – Dozens of travelers heard the Megillah, put on tefillin, and received Mishloach Manot before departure or upon arrival.
- Israeli Students – A lively Purim celebration was held for Israeli students, featuring a Megillah reading, festive refreshments, music, and dancing.
Dancing and Music – The Heart of the Celebration
The energetic dancing and joyous melodies brought everyone together. Young and old joined hands, dancing to the sounds of live music, filling the room with a contagious festive spirit.
A Special Experience for Children and Youth
Children enjoyed a unique Purim program featuring exciting performances, creative activities, and engaging games. For them, Purim became a truly memorable experience filled with happiness and fun.
